A common known failure for BMWs is water pumps and radiators. The plastic tanked radiators seem to be good for 8-10 years, and most mechanics will tell you to replace the water pump 'while you are there'. Since this car has been dormant for about that long, I'm going to do the comprehensive cooling system overhaul right up front.
Shown here are:

  • a new ALL aluminum radiator from Wizard cooling. No more broken radiators for this car!
  • a new plastic expansion tank and coolant level sensor
  • 8, yes EIGHT, BMW radiator hoses needed for the M635
  • a new water pump, thermostat, and o-ring
  • new BMW blue antifreeze (not shown in this pic)
  • Check out the welds on this baby! Gorgeous, I wish I could weld like this.
